Industries
Bookkeeping built around how your industry actually works
If you're past the point of doing it alone, but you don't need someone full time, you are exactly who I work with. Every industry keeps its books a little differently.
Why generic bookkeeping falls short here
Every industry keeps its books differently. Most software doesn't.
A contractor needs job costing tracked job by job. A landlord needs clean numbers by property, not one blended total. A shop owner needs sales tax and merchant fees reconciled against what actually hit the bank.
Generic bookkeeping treats all of that the same way: categorize the transaction, close the month, move on. That's not wrong, exactly. It's just not built to answer the question you're actually asking.
Below are the industries I work with, and what's different about how I handle each one.
Industries I work with
Five industries, five different sets of books.
Professional Services
Agencies, consultants, and firms billing time or retainers. Which projects made money, which retainers you've been paid for but haven't earned yet, and which clients are actually worth keeping.

Shops, restaurants, and online sellers. The payouts from Square, Shopify, or Toast matched back to real sales, sales tax handled, and margin by product instead of one lump number.

Roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, remodeling. Job costing, progress billing, and supplier invoices that arrive three weeks after the crew left.

Inventory, work in process, standard versus actual cost, and a gross margin you can defend.
Get in touch →Everyone Else
Trucking, salons, gyms, franchises, solo operators. If money comes in and goes out, the work is the same. The reporting is what I tailor.
