Old Hickory, TN
What story do your books tell?
I partner with small businesses across Tennessee so you can run your business with clean books you can trust, monthly reports I'll walk you through, and peace of mind at tax time.
What I do
What I actually do for you.
Monthly Bookkeeping
Transactions categorized, accounts reconciled, and the month closed on schedule. Reporting broken out the way your business actually runs.
Catch-up & Cleanup
It doesn't matter how far behind you are, or how hopeless it seems. I sort it out and hand you back something you can trust.
Advisory & Reporting
A monthly conversation about what the numbers mean. Pricing, margin, cash timing, and an open conversation about your business and anything you need clarity on.
System Setup & Training
Whether you need a new system, a move from another one, or a fix for something someone else built, I'll do the hard part and then teach your team what they actually need to know.
Bills, Invoicing & Receivables
Vendor bills tracked and paid with your approval, invoices sent out based on your data, and receivables tracked so you always know who owes you.
1099s & Sales Tax Support
W-9s collected through the year, 1099s prepared, and sales tax returns handled if needed.
Who I work with
Small businesses across Tennessee.
If you're past the point where a shoebox works, but not at the point where you'd hire someone in-house, you're exactly who I built this for. Some industries come with their own particular headaches. A few of those are below, because I've already solved them.
Professional Services
Agencies, consultants, and firms billing time or retainers. Which projects made money, which retainers you've been paid for but haven't earned yet, and which clients are actually worth keeping.
Read more →Real Estate & Rentals
Landlords, property managers, agents, and short-term rental owners. Per-property reporting, deposits, and clean Schedule E support.
Read more →Retail, Food & E-Commerce
Shops, restaurants, and online sellers. The payouts from Square, Shopify, or Toast matched back to real sales, sales tax handled, and margin by product instead of one lump number.
Read more →Contractors & Trades
Roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, remodeling. Job costing, progress billing, and supplier invoices that arrive three weeks after the crew left.
Read more →Small Manufacturing
Inventory, work in process, standard versus actual cost, and a gross margin you can defend.
Get in touch →Everyone Else
Trucking, salons, gyms, franchises, solo operators. If money comes in and goes out, the work is the same. The reporting is what I tailor.
All industries →How it starts
Four steps, and the first one is free.
Free Discovery Call and Review
Before we talk, I review your current setup. Then we spend 30 minutes on what's working and what isn't. You walk away with something useful whether we work together or not.
A Scope and a Flat Monthly Fee
I put the work in writing and quote one flat monthly price built around your actual volume. No hourly surprises, no meter running when you call with a question.
Cleanup and Onboarding
I fix the history, rebuild your account categories around your actual business, connect the bank feeds, and make sure everything is in order before moving forward.
Monthly Close, Then a Conversation
Books closed on schedule, reports in your inbox, and a call about what they mean. At year end, your tax preparer gets a package built the way they want it.
Straight answers
Questions I get asked first.
Do I need Bookkeeping Software to work with you?
No. Bookkeeping Software is not required. If you're recording everything on spreadsheets, pen and paper, or nothing at all, I can make sure you have what you need.
What does it cost?
One flat monthly fee, set after the free discovery call. Cleanup projects and add-ons are quoted separately. Every business runs differently. I want to make sure my services fit your process, not the other way around. Things like transaction volume, job count, and level of cleanup can all affect the amount of effort involved. Scope gets reviewed after six months, then once a year. Between reviews the fee stays flat, so there are no hourly surprises.
Do you file my taxes?
No. Income tax prep is one thing I don't do. What I do is build the year-end package your tax preparer needs, in the format they want it, so their job is easier too. Don't have a preparer? I can point you to one.
Are you a CPA firm?
No. Anchored Bookkeeping, LLC is a bookkeeping firm, not a licensed CPA firm, and does not perform audits, reviews, compilations, or attest services.
Do you only work with contractors?
No. Real estate, professional services, retail, and food establishments are just a few of the industries I work with. What changes between industries is how the reporting gets organized, and that part gets built around you.
Where do you work?
I'm based in Old Hickory, Tennessee, but work with businesses across Tennessee.
My books are a disaster. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Cleanup is one of my specialties and I will make sure it is done right.
